I’m particularly interested in communicating the structure and function of contemporary art — and to bring history forward but still within a contemplation of ‘distancing’ times and places for expanding an ‘art historical overview’ that engages the viewer. Juxtaposition, in a series or long study — of painting and writing — is a current consideration. I am trained in painting, literary studies, art history, and philosophy. As a resident artist I could contribute a great deal to the thinking through of present art. I am currently working in the Torpedo Factory, but looking for a more involved and supportive work space.
