Artist Statement
“My artwork is my truest, most authentic personal expression, often reflecting my inspirations, mindset and feelings. The perpetual daydream that exists within my head is reflected in themes of nature, love, harmony and feel-good-ness in my work. Unlike my verbal, written and personal interactions that are managed based on social constructs, training and desired outcomes, my artwork remains as my most unfiltered personal expression.

My intent is to create art that is positive, simple and colorful.  My fascination with color is evident in every work and I enjoy working on canvas with acrylic paints and non-traditional media. Experimenting with different materials is something I have always enjoyed. In different works, I have used acrylic paint, glue, tape, baking flour, paper and glass and LED lights. I love creating art that invites the viewer to interact with the art, to feel compelled to reach out and touch the work.

Whether it is a painting of flowers, a family or an abstract, I want people to look at my paintings and feel happy, calm and peaceful.”
