No Kings Collective, the Washington, DC based artist group, announces the opening of Hierarchy, a new special exhibition venue designed as an ever-evolving, chameleon exhibition space.  Hierarchy will launch with a dual exhibition from lauded DC artists Cory Oberndorfer and East City artist DECOY (Alicia Cosnahan). Hierarchy will feature monthly artist exhibitions and weekly cultural programming. Hierarchy opens in partnership with the Popal family, owners of Napoleon Bistro, Cafe Bonaparte and Malmaison.

On February 8th, Cory Oberndorfer, the pop art muralist and large-scale painter, launches Pop: Sucker, a fleet of colorful pieces inspired by pop culture and Americana, presenting objects oozing of innocence in an age of maturity. DECOY’s North West is a compilation of paintings and stories inspired by the artist’s life as an artist and art educator in Washington, DC. With origins in street art, DECOY’s work focuses on the intersection of figures with color and space.

North West and Pop: Sucker will be on view through Monday, March 3rd.

Gallery Hours:

  • Saturdays and Sundays: noon to 5pm

Hierarchy is located at 1841 Columbia Road, NW.
