Under the Influence: Reverberations of the Washington Color School is open from March 21 to April 12, 2014.

Under the Influence serves as a catalyst to promote the engagement with the legacy of the Washington Color School in relation to contemporary DC artists.

The curators Kaitlin Filley and Ashley Wilson have included the following artists in Under the Influence:

  • Jeffry Cudlin
  • Bill Hill
  • Barbara Januszkiewicz
  • Ryan Carr Johnson
  • Katherine Tzu-Lan Mann
  • Meg Mitchell
  • Robin Rose
  • Samuel Scharf

Under the Influence is located in both the Salve Regina Gallery on The Catholic University of America’s campus and in the Victor L. Selman Community Gallery in the Brookland Artspace Lofts.

The Salve Regina Art Gallery is located at Salve Regina Hall within the CUA campus located at 620 Michigan Avenue NE. Refer to location C-11 on the CUA map FOUND HERE (downloadable PDF) for the exact location.

  • Saturday – Sunday: 12 – 4pm

The Victor L Selman Community Gallery is located at 3305 8th Street NE.

Hours:

  • Thursday – Friday: 5:30 – 8pm
  • Saturday: 12 – 4pm
