New work by Graduate and Undergraduate School of Art Students from George Mason University and James Madison University

“Exchanged III” reflects the collective resource base from which the students and faculty at these institutions approach the inspiration, inquiry and methodology that brings ideas into form. As such, the work in this exhibit mirrors the spectrum of concerns of contemporary art practice through social engagement as well as articulation of personal voice and awareness. It is an art that accepts no boundaries, expresses an awareness of place and time, seeks new audiences, challenges conventional thinking, is well made, embraces process, and explores new possibilities.
