With ceramic hamburgers so 2013, could the Hot Dog be the new darling of the DC art scene? Art Enables and the Off-Rhode Gallery are going to heat up March (and a few hundred hot dogs of different varieties) with their spring event: Night of 1000 Hot Dogs.

Art Enables, a gallery long known for showcasing unusual art and a favorite stop for collectors of Outsider and self-taught art, has opened Off-Rhode Gallery, an alternative space featuring unconventional shows and self-taught artists. Currently, Off-Rhode Gallery is featuring over 30 works from various artists showcasing the art of the sideshow and circus. Strange and wonderful works await those who come to see AMAZING MARVELS- now on display until April 19, 2014.

Night of 1000 Hot Dogs promises singular and strange attractions, a tattoo judging contest, awe-inspiring art and of course, hot dogs.

Guests are encouraged to wear their most fascinating frocks and join in the fun on Saturday, March 29th from 7-10 pm at the Art Enables Studio. The celebration is open to the public and free of charge, but reservations are required. Please RSVP here: http://www.art-enables.org/news/news-and-events.php
