SCRAP DC hosts a Summer Carnival with food, games and more, for kids of all ages. Join them for face painting, a treasure hunt, and a DIY spin art rig. Think you’ll succeed at our hoop toss? Or hit targets with a bean bag? Prizes will be awarded for those who do. There will be treats to eat, a photo booth, and a silent auction.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to view the Art Exhibition currently on display in the lobby. It features work made by children 13 and younger, much of it the result of classes and camp sessions held in the workshop room.

While this is a fundraising event, prices will be kept low. Tickets for adults are $10, kids only $5, with a maximum of $30 per family. They’re available for purchase at our store and on Eventbrite.

Special Carnival Collection Drive: Bring clean, dry, empty packaging from your drink pouches and “squeeze- pack” foods to be sent along to TerraCycle! (FYI – You can always drop these off at SCRAP.)

Do you have a product or service you’d like to offer the SCRAP DC audience? The silent auction is available to advertise businesses in and around Brookland. This event also has sponsorship opportunities that will allow you to reach SCRAP’s clientele of parents, kids, teachers, and artists. Interested parties should get in touch with Karen Klein at 301.830.8690.

Open Hours:

  • Wednesday – Sunday: Noon to 6pm

SCRAP DC is located at 3101 12th St NE. For more information visit www.scrapdc.org.
