Hyattsville CDC Notice of Annual Meeting and Election of Board Members

The Hyattsville Community Development Corporation (CDC) will hold an annual meeting and election to the Board of Directors on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the offices of the Hyattsville CDC located at 4312 Hamilton Street, Hyattsville, MD

In accordance with its Bylaws, the Nominating Committee is notifying CDC membership of the meeting and that nominations are now open for election to the CDC’s Board of Directors. Announcement of a pending Annual Meeting was made in June and September of 2012, and at the previous membership meeting prior to the Annual meeting, and was posted to the Hyattsville CDC website and in a special newsletter issuance.

There are three HyCDC Board of Directors positions (for terms through 2015) up for election at this meeting and one Board Member’s appointment by the Chairman must be ratified by the membership.  Any member of the HyCDC may nominate him/herself as a candidate by submitting his/her name in writing to the Nominating Committee, endorsed by two other members, by February 12, 2013.  The Committee will post a slate of nominees in the Hyattsville Municipal Building and at its offices no later than February 26, 2013.

A member may also present him/herself as a write-in candidate at the Annual meeting on March 12, 2013, if supported by two other members.  The election will be conducted by closed ballot.
