“Craftivism” is a worldwide movement that operates at the intersection of craft and activism. It is a grassroots endeavor that proves small acts have a big impact. ScrapDC hosts local author Betsy Greer to celebrate the release of her new anthology, Craftivism, which features interviews with and profiles of individuals who are changing the world with their creativity. Betsy will sell and sign copies of her new book. She’ll also lead a mini-workshop on “visible mending” (i.e. darning)—bring a piece of clothing to mend, all other supplies will be provided.

Scrap DC is located at 3101 12th Street NE. For more information visit scrapdc.org and craftivism.com.
