Art All Night: Nuit Blanche DC is an all-night exploration and celebration of the arts, encompassing five of DC’s most vibrant neighborhoods: Congress Heights, Dupont Circle, North Capitol, Shaw and H Street NE. Indoor and outdoor venues showcase work by artists in a diverse range of media, with visual arts, street performances, live music, and DJs contributing to an unprecedented mash-up of cultural experiences in the nation’s capital.

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities welcomes artists, collectives, and organizations to apply to participate in Art All Night in a variety of disciplines, including but not limited to: visual art, music, theatre, dance, performance art, spoken word, DJs, video art and sound art.

This year’s Art All Night will take place Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

Artist Opportunities
DCCAH welcomes artists and organizations/collectives/groups to apply to participate in Art All Night in a variety of disciplines, including but not limited to: visual art, music, theatre, dance, performance art, spoken word, DJs, video art and sound art. Family friendly proposals are also welcome. Artists will be allowed to sell their works at the event. Financial stipends may be available based on the artist’s budget and size of project.

Additionally, applicants may propose to design, install and operate a special lighting project for the exterior of one of the four following locations: Carnegie Library at Mt. Vernon Square, Heurich House in Dupont, the Gateway Pavilion in Congress Heights and the building wall at 1713 7th Street NW in Shaw (wall faces Rhode Island Ave).
