About the Pitch Night
Benevolent Media is organizing a Pitch Night to give benevolent media creators a chance to showcase their pitches and proposals in captivating 3- to 5-minute presentations and for a chance to win cash prizes to make their idea a reality.
Join Benevolent Media for a night of sharing about how to make the world a better place through storytelling and design. Want to use poetry for social justice? Photography for nature conservation? Filmmaking for women’s empowerment? Whatever the medium, whatever the cause, persuade us to care about your project.
A panel of judges will vote on the Grand Prize winner.
The rest of the audience also gets to cast their vote on what project to fund with a People’s Choice Award, using a portion of the money pooled from the price of admission.
This event will be held during Digital Capital Week, a week-long festival in Washington, DC focused on bringing together designers, developers, entrepreneurs and social innovators of all kinds.
How to Apply
Tell Benevolent Media what cause you care about, what community you aim to serve, and what form of media you’ll be using to create positive and lasting social or environmental change. We’ll invite the applicants with the most compelling proposals to come pitch their idea in front of a live audience on November 5.
