The Merchants of Lorton Station Town Center are providing a free community event titled Art in the Courtyard, on Saturday,  June 14th,  from 11am until 4 pm (Rain Date June 21st). This is a bi-annual, outdoor fine art show held in our beautiful, tree lined courtyard with its brick sidewalks and gorgeous gazebo. The event will feature artists from The Workhouse Arts Center, Occoquan and Alexandria displaying their art for sale in tented/tabled areas.

Live jazz band- Geno and Friends- will be playing inside the gazebo. A complimentary wine tasting will take place inside the courtyard for patrons over 21. Caricature artists will be on hand to sketch patrons, and there will also be a photo booth with fun props to capture the moment with family and friends for free as well.

This event will be advertised through signage, as well as online, in print media and on radio publications. Expected attendance is 850+ people based on past attendance.

There is a $35 booth charge, but no percentage will be taken from participating artists for work sold. You will be provided with a 10’ x 10’ space in the courtyard for you to set up your booth and display work. Artists will need to provide their own tents/ tables/ chairs. A tent is required in case of light rain.  The Merchants of Lorton Station Town Center are not liable for any losses. Please be as creative as possible with your 10’ x 10’ space. As a bonus- there will be a paid crew to help you set up and take down before and after the show.

The show is juried, and judged in the categories of Photography, 3-D Mediums, and Painting. Three winners from each category will place in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and will be presented with a Certificate of Award.
