Entry Deadline: August 16, 2013
Jewel Box (Formerly Fleisher’s Jewelers), a 2300sf storefront, invites emerging and established artists to apply for an opportunity to participate in a Group Exhibition this September. They are looking for a diverse body of artwork in all mediums and styles, anything goes. September is a big month for openings and we would like to help revitalize this area with the addition of a pop-up gallery. The Jewel Box will advertise and promote the exhibition and host a formal Opening Reception plus additional programming during the run of the show. We look forward to seeing samples of your work.
Accepted artists will get a 10′ section of wall (art-o-matic style) with floor space in front of a wall up to 4′ if applicable. We also encourage 3 dimensional works to be displayed throughout the space (pedestals may need to be supplied by artists). Participating artists will be required to help prepare their space and install their work. Artists must also bring all materials necessary for installation. Artists will also be required to staff the gallery a maximum of 2 shifts during the run of the show. Shifts are 2 hours a piece.
A $12 fixture fee will be required of all accepted artists. Art Lives Here will take a 15% commission on all sales.
