Hothouse Video
Washington Project for the Arts (WPA) invites artists to submit proposals for our continuing series, Hothouse Video.

As a natural extension of its long running Experimental Media Series, WPA launched Hothouse Video, a series of contemporary video works by local, national, and international artists to be presented in the hotel lobby. Part of WPA’s Hothouse series of exhibitions and events at the Capitol Skyline Hotel, Hothouse Video introduces exceptional artists and artworks to the DC community and to the substantial number of visitors, both national and international, who visit the hotel.

Hothouse: ImPRINT
WPA is currently accepting submissions for Hothouse: ImPRINT, an open, juried, group exhibition of works by WPA member artists as part of our Hothouse Exhibition series at the Capitol Skyline Hotel. Hothouse: ImPRINT is an exhibition that aims to highlight the personal creative process through visual art in combination with written language.

In addition to being included in the exhibition, selected artists will work with Juror, Robert Bettman, to write articles about their work and their creative process for publication in the arts magazine Bourgeon.

Lobby Project
Washington Project for the Arts (WPA) invites member artists to submit proposals for our continuing series, Lobby Project, in partnership with the NoMa Business Improvement District (NoMa BID).

Lobby Project is an ongoing exhibition series featuring original artwork and installations by local artists in the lobby of 1200 1st Street NE. WPA commissions artists to create exhibitions or installations that are inspired by or reflect the vibrant NoMa neighborhood. WPA is currently asking for proposals for the Lobby Project for 2015. We are looking for interesting and engaging work in dialogue with the neighborhood, either through direct representation or abstraction.
