Or not so much fixing as filling.
Filling a crack, highlighting an inherent design we don’t often see. Later filling a different space with presence created from absence, letting what was peripheral and underfoot now envelop us.
Emily Fussner is a Visual Arts MFA candidate at George Mason University, majoring in Printmaking. Jennifer Lillis is the curator for Fill exhibit. Lillis is a former exhibiting artist at Micro Gallery, with her April 2016 installation On the Corner of Kansas & Nowhere…. Fill is her first curating project. Lillis is also in the Visual Arts MFA program at George Mason University, majoring in Printmaking. She is also the art director of So to Speak, a journal published by graduate students in the English and Art departments at George Mason University.
