Art on 8th is a series of interdisciplinary arts events bringing free music, dance and visual arts to the heart of Brookland & Edgewood.

Now in its fourth year, Art on 8th brings people of all ages, backgrounds and interests together to enjoy and experience interactive programs of music, dance and visual arts.

All events are free and open to the public. Events in the Art on 8th program take place on the Arts Walk at Monroe Street Market (716 Monroe St NE), the 8th St Arts Park (3225 8th St NE) and at Dance Place (3225 8th St NE).

Saturdays: GET CREATIVE

1:30pm: Arts & Crafts, Movement and Gardening
Art on 8th concludes in September 2016, but will return in May 2017.

Art on 8th is supported by Monroe Street Market, The Kresge Foundation and Long & Foster Brookland Sales.

Dance Place’s Art on 8th is part of the organization’s Program Enhancement Fund, a $500,000 multi-year initiative to offer expanded free community arts and cultural programming.
