Event: Friday, August 1 from 7 to 11pm

ReCreative will transform an otherwise empty property in Brookland neighborhood of Washington, DC into a hub of creative activity.

ReCreative Spaces, headed by dancer Emily Arden Eakland and photographer John Munge Kagia, turns underused and unlikely spaces into active centers filled with visual, performing, and culinary arts.

Between August 1 and October 14, 2003 Bunker Hill Road NE, the duo will run a place for artists (and art enthusiasts!) to work, play, and share. The space will house weekly classes, special workshops, performances, and a pop-up cafe by local coffee roaster, Café Los Suenos. The space is also available for private rentals. Friday’s event is a free launch party.
