Artists & Makers Studios 2 on Wilkins Avenue in Rockville will present three exhibits for the month of January. Homage: respectful ridicule as art with artist Mike Caplanis will be featured in the second floor gallery. Caricature is a benign term for an area of the visual arts expressing (paradoxically) admiration through insult. The New Masters Gallery on the third floor will feature Small Works. This exhibit offers an ideal opportunity to start your own art collection featuring the affordable artwork of 30 of the area’s finest emerging and established realist artists. Sculptural work by Nigerian artist Maduka Uduh in his first US exhibition Life I knew, Life Anew will also be featured in the second floor sculpture gallery.

Viewing hours:

  • Tuesday-Friday: 10am – 4pm
  • Saturdays: 10am – 4pm
  • Sundays/Mondays by chance or appointment.

Artists & Makers Studios 2 is located at 12276 Wilkins Ave., Rockville, MD. For more information,visit http://artistsandmakersstudios.com/january-in-the-galleries-at-parklawn-and-wilkins/.
