Arts Advocacy Day is a celebration of the DC arts community, and a day to focus attention on the role of the arts in our local community.  Here is what you can do to help:

Events

  • Wednesday, April 23, 3:30pm-5pm: Advocacy Co-Training – Come share your knowledge. Join advocates and arts leaders for a community co-training at 3222 11th Street, NW. Thanks to Bloombars for hosting.
  • Tuesday, April 29 10am-2pm: Arts Hearing – Sign up to testify at the hearing for the Arts by emailing Ruth Werner with your contact info and request to testify at [email protected] The hearing will be held in the Wilson Building, hearing room 412.
  • Advocacy Day Meetings with Council members and Council staff – To sign up for a meeting email Robert at DCAdvocatesfortheArts.org and you’ll be assigned a team and meeting based on availability. Priority is given to Partners and Members. Membership is free for those who can not afford it. To learn more about membership visit the DCAA website at http://www.DCAdvocatesfortheArts.org.
