Capitol Hill Arts Workshop Hosts an Exhibition of Works by Jane Wynn

The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) presents an exhibition of works by artist Jane Wynn. Jane Ann Wynn is an artist spanning a broad spectrum of media, notably assemblage, jewelry, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, painting, and photography. The exhibit is curated by Bruce McKaig.

After earning her MFA from Towson University, Jane Wynn taught fine art there until 2002, when she established Wynn Studios, based in Parkville, Maryland, with her husband Thomas Wynn. She teaches at workshops all over America and writes books detailing art techniques. She teaches fine art in various colleges. She maintains a constellation of Web presences, and has appeared on television and Internet radio to illustrate her unique techniques. Wynn has participated in dozens of exhibitions nationwide for the past 25 years.

The exhibit runs through July 31, 2012.

Class – Workshop: Saturday July 21 from 10am to 4pm

Ms. Wynn will also hold an assemblage workshop on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 10am to 4pm at CHAW.

Using found objects supplied by both the participant and artist, students will learn how to create a narrative in a small space using art elements, how to attach/connect objects, and how to create various surface textures techniques.  Cost is $80 and participants can register online at www.chaw.org or by called 202.547.6839
