Opening Reception and Artist Talk: Tuesday, October 31 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm
In celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation the Dadian Gallery presents the juried exhibition ReFORMation. Eight local artists created work for their worship communities or as a critical response to their religious traditions. Inspired or haunted by this heritage, the resulting sculpture, video, prints and paintings explore the complex legacy of the Reformation on artistic practice today. The exhibition, and artist talk on October 31st at 12:30pm, are free and open to the public.
The Dadian Gallery is a program of The Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion at Wesley Theological Seminary, which sponsors a variety of cultural events exploring the intersection between art and religion and promotes dialogue between artists and theologians.
