Sheila Crider’s work articulates issues of contemporary culture through installations that embody social and aesthetic ideas. January ’15 – October ’16 brings together mixed media pieces that utilize paper, fabric, metal, wood, and other materials, challenging our conventional definitions of fine art. Using recycled and re-purposed materials and petroleum products, the installation Toxicity in the Air provokes awareness of the pollution poisoning our atmosphere.
