Event: Saturday, September 16 from 5pm to 8pm
The Georgetown Galleries on Book Hill will kick off the season with the Fall Art Walk on Saturday, September 16 from 5-8. During an evening stroll, art enthusiasts can visit some of the District’s oldest galleries and see wide range of fine art. This includes Naturally, an exhibit of woodcuts by Cynthia Back; Three Cities, DC – Paris – Oxford, an exhibit of paintings by John Morrell; and Termini, featuring work by Julian Stair, Rob Barnard, and Rebecca Cross.
In October, the galleries will launch a series of “Second Saturday” events. These will be 4-6 on October 14, November 11, and December 9. Some of the exhibits after September include We the Immigrants, a group show, and Face It!, featuring sketches by Andrea Ponsi.
The Georgetown Galleries is a group of galleries clustered along Wisconsin Avenue in upper Georgetown. They are Addison/Ripley Fine Arts, Artist’s Proof, Susan Calloway Fine Arts, Cross Mackenzie Gallery, Klagsbrun Studios, Maurine Littleton Gallery, and Washington Printmakers Gallery.
