Signal from Noise by Sol Hill
January 22 – March 11

Vivid Solutions Gallery presents a solo exhibition from artist Sol Hill. Signal from Noise interweaves the immediacy of photography in a creative process he dubs “energy paintings.” Hill combines the aesthetics and visual concerns of painting and photography. Through the use of a digital sensor, he transforms images into a kind of hyper-vision showing aspects of reality that are not normally seen.

Edges and Allowances by Lillian Hoover
January 22 -March 11

Honfleur Gallery presents a new exhibit by Baltimore-based artist Lillian Hoover. In this series, Hoover walks the line between abstraction and photorealism. She explores liminal spaces comprised of patterns, textures, shapes and shadows that appear to have arranged themselves with care, awaiting the viewer’s notice. Sustained attention to these banal, unassuming places gives way to a quietude and reverence for the act of looking.
