Event: Saturday October 20 from 4pm to 6pm
To Cuba and Back- The 11th Havana Biennial – discussion sponsored by Brentwood Arts Exchange and Black Artists of DC.
Several members of Black Artists of DC joined art lovers and practitioners from around the world for this summer’s 11th Havana Biennial. Among the world’s most premiere arts expositions, the Biennial features visual and performance art by artists from around the world, in a month-long festival held across the city’s galleries, museums, parks, riverfronts, and streets. Members of Black Artists of DC had a rare look into the international art scene in a nation that has been inaccessible to Americans for many decades.
You’re invited to join them Saturday, October 20, from 4-6pm, as they share their inspirations, show what they’ve seen, and describe their travel experiences – from getting a visa to exploring Cuban culture. This is a free event, all ages are welcome to attend.
