The exhibit will run from May 8 – May 25, 2014

Kim Holland was born in 1984 to Pennsylvania German coal miners and crafts folk in the Appalachian Mountain range, USA. She is a painter, sculptor, and multimedia artist influenced by American Abstraction, wood objects, tole painting, and superstition.

Her recent work re-imagines the dreamscape of the fictional flower and the conjured 1980s graveyard. Applying intuitive responses to her work, she evokes beautiful, organic elements of natural selection in shape and color. Each canvas and watercolor tells a story of surprise, discovery, and our minds’ relationship with fantasized living life forms.
