Recent DC transplant Nima Veiseh, The Enigma of New York (E.O.N.), has been exhibiting his art at every opportunity. Veiseh currently has work displaying at cove on 14th St. and in May of this year, he debuted his work at Fathom Gallery with an almost sold out show. His work in five words is “common phenomena, uncommon texture-color.”

Veiseh says that he is “inspired by the power of simple acts that happen all around us all of the time. Whether it be a sunrise, or the love of a grandmothers hands working at a quilt, anything that has meaning to someone can be abstracted into a powerful combination of color and texture that helps to illuminate deep meanings of the moment.” His work is bright and full of movement and color.

In addition to his current six-month exhibition, Veiseh has two upcoming exhibitions at the Q Street Gallery and at Baked and Wired. Veiseh has found a love for DC’s public art scene at restaurants, commercial spaces, and bars. He plans to take full advantage of these venues for exhibiting his work.
