The East of the River Arts celebration takes place Friday August 5 in the heart of historic Anacostia at Honfleur Gallery with two concurrent exhibitions and a retrospective on DC’s own Go-Go musical movement at the gallery at Vivid Solutions. On Saturday attend an opening at CHAW and get a taste of the (e)merge art fair’s space while viewing experimental videos at the Capitol Skyline Hotel.
The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) presents an exhibition by artist Laura Vernon-Russell scheduled to open Saturday August 6 from 5 – 7pm. The exhibition runs through September 1, 2011.

The Saturday Figure Drawing Class Second Summer Session Continues July 23, 2011 at CHAW. This Spring, participants moved the class outdoors to Archibald Walk to work from the figure en plein air.
