Shop Local this Holiday at the GRUMP Holiday Market on Capitol Hill

Give Rad Presents Made by Local Indie Designers.  GRUMP is another opportunity to Buy Local, Buy Art this holiday season.

As the organizers cleverly observe: “Let’s be real, the mall is sad and full of Pillow Pets made in a factory somewhere. Online shopping is not as fun as it used to be.  So, join 20 of your favorite Crafty Bastards vendors on December 10, 2011 as we show and sell our handmade goods. From kids clothing made from vintage t-shirts to handmade soap to plush anteaters to t-shirts about zombies eating pizza, our mix of vendors should help you score something unique for everyone on your list. It is like shopping Etsy.com in real life, but without having to rely on their search function!”

Other than shopping, GRUMP offers fun for everyone. There will be a DJ, bar, fortune telling, and… cupcakes! Meet your friends and neighbors for a fun afternoon! Play on a giant Plinko board to win a vintage or handmade prizes!

GRUMP is the brainchild of Tina Seamonster and Beth Baldwin, two local independent designers who have in the past produced the Holiday Booty Market. This event is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary DC Unit 8. The event will raising money for the District of Columbia
National Guard Family Services.
