emerge art fair washington dc on East City Art

(e)merge announces an extensive line-up of  special projects and performances that will take place during the art fair. The fair’s programming series complement the dynamic roster of artists exhibiting and performing in the gallery and Artist Platforms.

SPECIAL PROJECTS
The following special artist projects will be presented at the fair:

  • SWARM_EMERGE: Swarm is an interactive project by Adam Good with the participation of artists from all over the world. (Lobby. daily)
  • Academy 2011 (e)merge prize winners: Forest Allread – Monster Mash (installation) (Lower level, daily) | Emily Biondo What I Never Said interactive sound sculpture. (Lobby. daily)
  • Triathlon of the Muses a performance by Jeffry Cudlin and Kathryn Cornelius. (Saturday, September 24th, Pool Deck, west. 12 to 2pm)

MAPPING THE WORLD OF EMERGING ART**
The Mapping Project, an initiative conceived by (e)merge co-founder Jamie Smith, invites anyone, anywhere in the world, who works with or supports emerging art – artists, gallerists, curators, arts professionals, and collectors – to “map” themselves on our interactive website. Participants will help create a picture of the world community of emerging art by uploading photographs of art to display on the map, along with their names and locations. (e)merge wants to learn who you are and see what you are doing.
