Tilted Torch, DC’s premier variety show, presents their third annual Halloween production, Spook-o-rama. Wrapping up sold out shows at the Capital Fringe Festival, Red Palace, and Creative Alliance, Tilted Torch brings top-notch entertainment to the nation’s capital for this year’s haunting holiday.

Dust off your headstone and join the creatures of the night on a terrifying journey that only Tilted Torch can provide. This spooky variety show runs for one night only–Sunday, October 30th at 9:00 pm–and features Miss Joule’s horrifying hooping and Malibu’s vicious variety, while Shakra brings eerily haunting belly dance to this petrifying production.  Cherokee Rose and Boobz Allen Hamilton will rattle your skeleton bones with their wicked burlesque. Teleporting from Baltimore, David London will astound with his mortifying magic skills. The head boogieman for the evening is the sinister femme-cee Shortstaxx. With ghastly games and an outrageous raffle, the ghouls and goblins of Tilted Torch will make you scream for more! Hot Halloween attire preferred.
About the Performers
.
Malibu likes it hot! She is a steaming blend of naughty and the girl-next- door but with a twist! She doesn’t take herself too seriously but commands the stage. Her acts range from mesmerizing or comedic fire play to colorful blacklight or LED performances. Malibu is co-producer of Tilted Torch and has been lighting up stages across the globe, everywhere from DC to Costa Rica and every place in between.
.
Miss Joule has plenty to choose from in her bag of tricks. From burlesque and fire performance to sideshow and circus acts, you never know what Miss Joule will bring to the stage. According to the Washington Post, her “hips move in ways you never thought possible” and What Weekly found her “thoroughly entertaining.” Miss Joule was also featured in the books “Weird Virginia” and “The People of Burning Man;” has performed on countless stages in the US, Canada, and Asia; and is co-founder of Tilted Torch.
.
Boobz Allen Hamilton comes out of the hardened streets of DC, and she’s your antidote to the daily grind.  She’ll make you laugh, turn you on, and sometimes make you blush with her no-holds-barred burlesque.  One thing’s for sure, with Boobz Allen Hamilton, you’ll be coming back for more.
.
Cherokee Rose is a former member of the Chicago Startlets. The Burlesque Hall of Fame’s, 2010 Best Troupe in the World. Cherokee Rose has made the move from the Windy City to the Capitol City. This Bewitching Beauty has perfomed across the US in competitions, conventions, theatres and assorted other venues. Cherokee’s style is classical, sweet and sassy.
.
David London is the creator of four original theatrical magic productions, and the author of eight manuscripts related to magic and illusion. He has performed his unique brand of magic and lectured on the subject in over 1/3 of the United States.
.
Shakra Dance Company is an experimental belly dance company based out of Washington DC, where they teach, play and learn. Shakra fuses belly dance, West African Dance, theater and their own messed up senses of humor to come up with a unique fusion dance form.  Shakra does their best to help each other learn and grow as women in modern day America, and take turns reminding each other not to take life too seriously. When all else fails, we dance.
.
Shortstaxx, Tilted Torch’s femme-cee, keeps the show rolling with her witty, comedic and bawdy patter. Sexy Staxx femme-cees with gusto, lustily talking up the next act or riffing spontaneously on audience-yelled commentary. A local burlesque star and experimental theatre veteran, Shortstaxx has garnered attention for her creative, sometimes outrageous, but always unique burlesque acts. She is also a member of Baltimore’s burlesque troupe Sticky Buns Burlesque.
