After serving nearly four decades as a Professor of Art at the University of Maryland, Tad Lapinksi has left an indelible mark on the art community. In collaboration with the University of Maryland College Park Department of Art, the Brentwood Arts Exchange honors Mr. Lapinski’s contributions with a solo exhibition of his brightly colored abstract prints. We are humbled to be in the company of such prestigious institutions as the National Gallery of Art, the White House, Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art Tokyo, and Tianjin Museum in China, among many other museums throughout the world.

About Tadeusz Lapinski

Lapinski received his Bachelors and Masters of Arts degrees from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. While living in Warsaw he worked with the School of Graphic Arts, where he began experimenting with multiple lithographic plates and first began applying his famous rainbow technique. Already an established artist in Europe, he moved to New York in 1963 to join a growing movement of graphic artists in the United States. In 1972 he began teaching lithography and painting at the University to Maryland College Park campus, where he helped to not only promote the talent of his students but also the careers of his colleagues.
