Opening Reception: Saturday, June 4th, 2011  Noon to 5pm

Gallery 555dc is helping the Washington Glass School celebrate its 10th Anniversary with a special exhibition of Student Sculpture works. Students from the WGS sculpture classes were invited to submit works for selection by Gallery 555dc.  Judging was held and completed over the Memorial Day Weekend.

Jodi Walsh, Owner of Gallery 555dc said:  “The Washington Glass School is known for its excellent student program and the quality of creative work its students produce. I wanted to celebrate their 10th anniversary by giving students an opportunity to exhibit their work in Gallery 555dc. Running and managing a school takes hard work, long hours and dedication – then more hard work. To celebrate a 10th Anniversary in the art world is a rare thing and a tribute to the founders and teachers of the Washington Glass School. ”

Washington Glass School Student Sculptural Glass Works will run from June 1  through June 30, 2011.   Artists will be in attendance at the opening Saturday, June 4 from 3pm to 5pm. Gallery 555dc is located at 555 12th Street NW Washington DC.
