About DataArts
DataArts, formerly the Cultural Data Project, was founded to bring the language and leverage of data to the business of culture. The Cultural Data Profile (CDP) is DataArts’ flagship service, which thousands of cultural nonprofits use annually to report their financial and programmatic information. DataArts seeks to be a catalyst for data-informed decision-making.

DataArts can help your organization view, analyze, and talk about your internal data in new (and even exciting!) ways. Their training workshops set the groundwork for you to use data thoughtfully and effectively, always with the goal of strengthening your organization’s ability to do what it does best: provide high-quality arts and cultural experiences.

Data + Stories Workshop
How do you want to communicate about your organization? In our hands-on workshop, learn how data drawn from DataArts’ analytic reports can help you make a case that will:

  • Effectively communicate with board members
  • Highlight accomplishments for funders
  • Raise important issues with policymakers

This workshop provides an opportunity to familiarize yourself with DataArts’ analytic reports and practice using data and metrics in conversations with stakeholders.

NEW! Building Blocks for Financial Health Workshop
In this workshop, explore two elements of financial health: understanding and applying financial metrics, and financial planning in support of strategic goals. You will apply these concepts in small groups with practice scenarios, and learn about additional financial tools and educational resources available from DataArts. This workshop will help you build your understanding of non-profit financial concepts and connect them to management practices.
