Armor Against Street Harrassament

After being repeatedly sexually assaulted in public, twenty-five-year-old artist Kubra Khademi commissioned a literal suit of armor for herself. In an effort to protest the harassment she and other women experience daily, Khademi walked the streets one day in February wearing the armor, which accentuated her breasts and buttocks. The artist whose activism focuses on sexual violence against women received violent threats and abuse after her performance, forcing her to relocate to South Korea. Read more at hyerallergic.
