Local Artist Felicia Reed Selected to Participate in 21st Japan International Art Exchange Exhibit at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art

Fiber artwork by Felicia L. Reed will be featured in The 21st Japan International Art Exchange Exhibit opening April 10, 2022, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art in Japan. The award winning “Whimsical” Healing Wrap will be on exhibit and is hereby donated to the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art. Only sixty-four artists from around the world were selected to participate and are sharing 147 works. Her featured piece, “Whimsical” has been on exhibit throughout the United State with it’s last exhibit in Wilson, North Carolina.

Curator, Julienne Johnson describes Ms. Reed work as “Absolutely incredible and beautiful.”

About Felicia L. Reed
Ms. Reed is award winning fiber artist who has exhibited in galleries and art forums around the United States. Her primary medium is Wet Felting which is an ancient technique of hand agitation to create fabric primarily using silk and wool. She is a Speaker, Coach, Artist, Volunteer, Advocate, and a survivor of extreme domestic and cyber violence. Ms. Reed resides in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and is available for speaking and artistic opportunities. Her mission work is to inspire healing with art, world changes and support to those in need especially harmed by other human beings. Ms. Reed’s work is currently on exhibit throughout the Washington, DC area, has just completed a solo exhibit with Maryland National Capital Park and Planning and is preparing for other solo exhibits this year.
