New Public Art Unveiled in Shaw

On Thursday, June 11, 2015, the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH), Roadside Development and Shaw Main Streets unveiled DC-based Zachary Oxman’s Symphony in DC Major, a 125 foot-long sculpture occupying the entire 800 block of P Street NW in Shaw.  The work pays homage to three legendary Shaw residents–Duke Ellington, Colonel Shaw and Alma Thomas.  Read more about the work here.
