ReCreative Spaces is Closing

By Editorial Team on December 11, 2017

ReCreative Spaces will close its Mount Rainier location in 2017. There is no word yet about weather or not the space will find a new home elsewhere in the DC metro region.

UPDATE: We have been told by ReCreative Spaces that they will not be seeking at new location at this time.

The following is a letter by Emily Eakland, founder of ReCreative Spaces:

Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart I announce that ReCreative Spaces will be closing at the end of 2017. It has been a FANTASTIC three and a half years, and I am so grateful to all of the artists, supporters, and audience members who have joined us on this journey. It is because of YOU that we were able to do as much as we did. Unfortunately, it is no longer sustainable to operate out of our current space in Mount Rainier, MD.

For more information on the transition, please visit our WEBSITE.

None of this would have been possible without my co-founder John Kagia, the fearless Jordan Dyniewski, or our pARTner in real estate, The Menkiti Group. From the bottom of my heART, thank you.

Sending so much love + creativity to you all,
