After nearly two decades of dedication to Pyramid Atlantic, its mission, and its community, Gretchen Schermerhorn is leaving her role as Artistic Director. Gretchen will be taking on the role of Executive Director of SGC International, one of the nation’s largest organization of printmakers, and focusing on her own art. However, Schermerhorn will continue to work in Pyramid’s studios and will stay on the roster of regular teaching artists.
Schermerhorn played a critical role in maintaining Pyramid Atlantic’s operations and sustainability, seeing it through several transitions and iterations. As an artist, her work has inspired many of her peers both across the street and across the country. Schermerhorn’s last day as a staff member is August 18, 2023.
