Reception and Artist Talk: Tuesday, October 23 from 12pm to 1pm

The Dadian Gallery at Wesley Theological Seminary presents the exhibition Contemporary Baptism. Gloria Chapa’s mixed-media baptismal fonts are inspired by math, religion and recycling. Using unconventional materials—plastic bags, vines and onion skins—the artist created contemporary forms for an ancient ritual.

The exhibition and artist talk on Tuesday October 23rd at 12:00 pm is free and open to the public.

Regular hours:

  • Monday-Thursday, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm,
  • Friday 10:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • second Saturday of each month from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

The gallery is otherwise closed weekends and holidays.

The gallery is located at 4500 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W., in the Kresge Academic Building on the campus of Wesley Theological Seminary.
