Artist Talk & Closing Reception: Sunday, January 8, 5 pm
Aluminum is the most abundant metal on earth and human beings have used it to fashion everything from toys to food storage to shelter. The ubiquitous soda can is a symbol of both consumer waste and efforts at recycling and sustainability. Artists have also made use of aluminum in new processes for digital printing, painting, or engraving images. Aluminosity features these technologies among the many artistic meditations on this silvery element.
- Wednesdays through Sundays: 2pm to 7pm
All events are free and open to the public and are at DC Arts Center (DCAC), 2438 18th Street NW, Washington DC. For more information, visit dcartscenter.org.
