Join Hamiltonian Artists for the fourth installment of the Understanding the Artist: Studio Visit series with an intimate gathering at the studio of artist and past Hamiltonian Fellowship panelist Steven Cushner on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 pm. The conversation will be lead by Mary Early, Director at Hemphill Fine Arts and Hamiltonian Artists board member.
Refreshments will be provided.
Steven Cushner (b. 1954) currently lives and works in Washington, DC. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and received his Master of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Maryland in 1980. His work is included in numerous private and public collections, including the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington DC. He has received several awards including two Visual Artist Fellowship from the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities and a Visual Artist Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. He currently is an adjunct professor at George Mason University.
