Event: Wednesday June 1 from 7pm to 9pm

“Making good art requires taking risks.”  Join the Brentwood Arts Exchange panel as they explore what it means to commit to the new and unknown.

The panel includes:

  • Welmoed Laanstra, Public Art Projects Curator, Arlington Cultural Affairs
  • Jack Rasmussen, Director and Curator, American University Museum
  • Claudia Rousseau, Professor of Art History, School of Art + Design at Montgomery College

The discussion will be moderated by artist Ellyn Weiss

Walking Off the Artistic Cliff is presented in conjunction with Big Ideas, an exhibition by Sondra N. Arkin, Susan Finsen and Ellyn Weiss. Featuring the collaborative site-specific installation Community Spirit, Big Ideas engages as it aims to survey and embody a collective mindset within the Gateway Arts District.  This event is free and is open to the Public.
