During the summer of 2019, the Alper will present a group show of DMV artists organized by local curator and printmaker, Matthew McLaughlin. In order to be considered, you must submit a short bio, artist statement, and up to 10 images to the Alper Initiative’s online database. The exhibition will focus on works utilizing printmaking techniques; such as, but not limited to, relief, intaglio, lithography, screenprint, and monotype. Strictly photographic or digital work will not be accepted, but works that utilize a printmaking process as a process step will be considered.

If you are a DMV printmaker and submitted to the Alper Initiative in the past, please email aiwa@american.edu to flag your submission. They will ensure it is reviewed.

No entry fee. All DMV artists (who live or work within a 50-mile radius of Washington, DC) may apply.
