Call for Applications for the 2019 The Studio Visit Berlin Fellowship Residency Program

The Studio Visit (TSV) is now accepting applications from qualified minority women artists for a fully funded scholarship to spend one month at the Takt International Artist Residency in Berlin, Germany this coming June 2019.

Spend one month making art and interacting with international artists and local Berliners in one of the most exciting cities on the planet.

Fellows will be housed in a live work space with other artists in the lively neighborhood of Prenzlauerberg (in the former east) and will benefit from a robust programming that includes artist talks, critiques and tours. The fellowship also includes a stipend for food and other miscellaneous expenses. Housing and airfare is included in the scholarship. Fellows will also have the opportunity to exhibit at the Tapir Gallery that is a part of the Takt Residency. After the fellowship upon return to the DMV area, Fellows will be asked to give a talk about their time and the work they made. An exhibition will also be organized at our local TSV space.

Applicants can submit up to 5 images including Title, Medium, Dimensions and date of artwork made. Please include a CV and a cover letter addressing your proposed project and how this time and scholarship will benefit you and your work. Artists must be at least 25 years of age during the time of the residency.
