Deadline: Friday, August 31, 2018
Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is proud to announce the open call for their Darkroom Workspace Residency for Fall/Winter 2018. This residency provides an opportunity for an artist to execute a new body of work, evolve an existing body of work, or develop a project in the CHAW Darkroom space. The residency offers up to eight weeks of time and space to an artist or team of artists to experiment and realize new work in our darkroom space and includes a $200 stipend for supplies not provided by the darkroom. The open call will close August 31st and residents will be announced September 12th. Artists working in all media are welcome to apply, but we require proposed projects to be darkroom facility specific.
Since 1972, the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) has provided arts education to thousands of children and adults in the Washington region, especially from the greater Capitol Hill area. Through classes, performances, and exhibitions in visual and performing arts, CHAW brings together diverse segments of the population to connect through the transformative power of creativity.
