Regional Juried Solo Show
July 3 – 28, 2019

Foundry Gallery is welcoming applications for a month-long guest solo show at its industrial-style space in Washington DC. The gallery will publicize the show, hold an opening reception, and staff the exhibit throughout the month. One of Washington’s premier contemporary galleries, the Foundry promotes the work of accomplished regional artists.

Entry fee: $45 for up to 10 images, along with artist’s statement and bio. Submissions are through SmarterEntry , via the link below.
If accepted art should be professionally presented, with a wire on the back, and works on paper should be framed. There is no theme

All art will be for sale, and the gallery retains a 40% commission. Work may not be removed before the end of the show.

How to Enter

• Applicants may submit up to 10 images, with artist’s statement and bio.
• Entry Fee: $45, payable by credit card.

Timeline

Monday July 1 Delivery of artwork to gallery for hanging
Wednesday July 3 Exhibit opens
Saturday July 13 Artist reception 5-8pm
Sunday July 28 Show ends at 7 PM
Monday July 29 Artwork removed from gallery

Details
● Artwork must be hand-delivered to the gallery two days before the opening and
removed by artist on the last day of the show. Shipments cannot be accepted.
● Artist may offer matted, unframed original works of art in a display bin provided by
the gallery.
● Artist will be paid for work sold by check mailed to artist within 15 days of the close of
the show .

Liability and permission All care will be taken to ensure the safety of artwork. However, Foundry Gallery will not be liable for damage or loss that occurs during the delivery, exhibition or removal of artwork. Artists grant Foundry Gallery permission to use images for promoting the exhibition, the artist, or the gallery without further compensation.

Submission of an entry application constitutes the artist’s agreement to all terms and conditions described in this call to artists.
