The Capitol Hill Art League invites artists in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia to enter this annual open call. The theme for this exhibit is Layers. Artists are invited to interpret the concept of layers through any 2D and 3D media, including photography.
The selected pieces will be exhibited at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop located at 545 7th Street, SE, Washington, DC. 20003. An opening reception will be held at the Workshop on Saturday, April 6th from 5:30-7:00 pm where awards will be presented by the juror, Bryan Jernigan, who is a pastel and acrylic artist who received his M.A. from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa and a B.S. from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. He currently teaches for the Art League of Alexandria, VA as well as other national and international locations.
