Serving under the supervision of, and in collaboration with, the Visual Arts Specialist, qualified applicants must have a strong background and interest in the visual arts and be highly motivated. The position provides for up to 30 hours per week without benefits, with an estimated hourly rate of $15-$20, depending on experience. Proficiency on Windows based machines preferred. Duties will include but are not limited to:

Assist with or take the lead with installing art exhibitions in various venues throughout Prince George’s County

Prepare and Manage artist’s receptions

Assist with archiving and tracking the Arts and Cultural Heritage Division’s art collection

Manage workshop schedules

Maintain a database of county artists

Assist with other arts based programing

Assist with creating marketing materials such as exhibition mailers and workshop fliers

Be flexible for other duties as assigned
