In anticipation of two openings in late 2024 due to relocations, Multiple Exposures Gallery (MEG) is issuing a Call for New Members and invites local photographers interested in gallery membership to apply for consideration. Complete information about the open call and the criteria for consideration is available here:

Multiple Exposures Gallery is located at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA, and represents the work of fifteen photographers recognized for excellence in fine art photography. Founded in 1985, it is the longest continuously operating fine art photography gallery in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and acclaimed throughout the region. The gallery features rotating exhibitions of work by its represented artists, often in collaboration with independent, nationally-recognized jurors and curators.

MEG provides many meaningful opportunities for local fine art photographers who become members, including:

* The opportunity to exhibit your work on a regular basis, either in solo or multi-person exhibits and in a number of group exhibits the gallery mounts each year
* The opportunity for ongoing social media visibility via Instagram, Facebook and MEG’s website and promotion to local media
* The opportunity to be a part of a community of other serious fine art photographers, continually exchanging ideas and growing both artistically and professionally
* The opportunity to have your work on display and for sale 360 days a year
* The opportunity to be part of the Torpedo Factory Art Center, drawing over 500,000 visitors a year and home to over 165 professional artists who work, exhibit, and sell their art

The process of applying for and gaining membership to MEG is disciplined and requires a serious commitment. The Member Call page on MEG’s website includes information about the gallery, the member call process and timetable, the responsibilities of MEG members, and the application and portfolio required for consideration. MEG is holding two optional information sessions on July 21st @ 11am and August 16th @ 7pm to provide guidance to prospective applicants. You may RSVP for either information session here:
